The Lladnar Creek Wildfire south of Sparwood is currently at 1.1 hectares in size.
The District of Sparwood provided an update on the blaze late Saturday night. saying air tankers have been working to slow fire growth south of the community.
The fire is burning in steep terrain and an initial attack crew was on site to assess for potential access and egress options.
The BC Wildfire Service is hoping to get a track of the fire so that a more accurate size can be mapped.
The fire is believed to be lightning caused and is currently listed as out of control.
