Sparwood’s Frank J Mitchell Elementary getting $195,000 for new playground

New funding is being provided to Frank J Mitchell Elementary School in Sparwood to purchase a new accessible school playground.

BC’s Ministry of Education and Child Care announced new funding being provided across the province through the Playground Equipment Program.

Each school would receive $195,000, with the expectation that the playgrounds are designed, built and installed over the next year.

Frank J Mitchell Elementary was the only school to receive funding through the program this year.
