The Mayor of Kimberley is discussing the years of effort that goes into attracting commercial investment into a community in BC.
Mayor Don McCormick has been posting to social media in recent days about the effort that goes into attracting investment to Kimberley.
The social posts follow city council’s recent decision to approve first reading of a zoning change that will see the Marysville Storage land use replaced by a commercial development land use.
McCormick says the completion of the new Save-On-Foods store in Kimberley has proven to be a beacon for additional investment in Kimberley.
He says that store sheds a very positive light for other investors who soon want to be part of the success seen in Kimberley.
McCormick is hopeful a proposed commercial development in Marysville, which could include a McDonalds, would be a similar beacon in the community.
