The Fernie Ghostriders claimed a 4-0 shutout victory over the Kimberley Dynamiters to start their second round KIJHL playoff series.
Ghostriders goalie Aidan Kruhlak turned away 29 shots in Friday night’s game for the shutout win.
Eli Neilsen, Liam Fitzgerald, Cole Fournier and Kort Kisinger scored for the Ghostriders in the Friday night win.
Fernie and Kimberley face off once again Saturday night for Game Two of their series.
Elsewhere, the Creston Valley Thunder Cats got a 4-3 win over Beaver Valley to start their second round playoff series.
Creston and Beaver Valley face off again in Fruitvale Saturday night in Game two.
