Amplify East Kootenay is shining a spotlight on local businesses for 2023.
Today, we look at Rick’s Fine Meats and Sausage in Cranbrook.

Rick’s Fine Meats and Sausage in Cranbrook offers over 50 varieties of sausages and deli products, all made in-house.
Co-Owner Corine Armstrong says they are a family owned business celebrating their 30th year in the community.
“We are the only business that offers old-fashioned butchery and we are an old-fashioned meat market, where all of our cuts are cut fresh daily,” Armstrong says. “That’s kind of unheard of now in the bigger box centres and we cut everything to our customer’s needs.”
Armstrong says their business has been operating in their location in Cranbrook since 1993, providing support to various groups throughout that time.
“We’ve loved to support the 4-H kids, they hold a huge part of our heart and its just lovely to see them growing up in the ranching community,” Armstrong says. “We love to support our seniors. They are what made our community what it is and we put on the senior’s dinner. We supply all the turkeys every Christmas for them.”
The business specializes in custom cuttings of beef, pork and wild game while also providing beef, pork and lamb products and importing specialty European groceries.
Rick’s Fine Meats and Sausage is located at 1350 B Theatre Road in Cranbrook.
