The Canada’s Top Employer Project has named Teck in its list of 2023 Canada’s Top 100 Employers for Youth People list.
Teck qualified for the distinction partly because of its ongoing employee development program which offers full tuition subsidies for courses at outside institutions, access to child care services and more.

Here are some of the reasons why Teck Resources Limited was selected as one of Canada’s Top 100 Employers (2023) and BC’s Top Employers (2022):
- Teck Resources offers maternity leave top-up payments for salaried non-unionized employees (approximately 40 per cent of the workforce) of up to 100 per cent of salary for up to 17 weeks — and, in partnership with Kids & Co., offers priority access to child care services
- Teck Resources supports ongoing employee development through full tuition subsidies for courses at outside institutions as well as a number of in-house and online training programs, including apprenticeships, paid internships and mentoring programs — and offers executive-level programs in partnership with the Beedie School of Business at Simon Fraser University
- Teck supported hundreds of local, national and international charitable initiatives with an emphasis on health and well-being, inclusion and sustainable livelihoods, and environmental stewardship — and encourages employees to give through a generous matching donations program, up to $3,000 annually
