Columbia Valley RCMP are reminding you to be wary of scammers.
Police say a resident suspects they lost more than $15,000 to a crypto currency fraud.
RCMP say the victim believed an online company was real and was depositing $2,000 a week, they attempted to redeem the money and were informed the company would call them back.
Police say the person has not heard from them since.

On January 19th the Columbia Valley RCMP received a call from a person who fell victim to a Crypto Currency Fraud. The victim believed the online company to be real and began depositing money upwards of 2000.00 per week however when they went to redeem their money, the company told them they would call back and has never heard from them since. The victim suspects they lost over 15 thousand dollars.
