The Cranbrook Urgent and Primary Care Centre celebrated one year since opening its doors at the Baker Street Mall.
The centre began operations on December 8th.
Manager Nicola Brooks says as of October 31st, there have been 25,095 appointments provided through the centre, with 6,522 unique patients being served.
The focus of an urgent and primary care centre is to support people who are experiencing non-life threatening conditions and do not require a visit to the ER at East Kootenay Regional Hospital.
Since opening, Interior Health has hired 24 employees at the facility, with recruitment efforts continuing so that the centre will be fully staffed.
