Long-time Kimberley volunteer Carol Fergus is being recognized by the City of Kimberley.
Fergus is the latest recipient of the city’s Jack Ratcliffe Commitment to Community Award and has been honoured to be part of Kimberley since the 1940s.
The award honours a person who is making or has made a significant contribution to Kimberley through their time, actions, dedication and talents.
Fergus is a life-long resident of Kimberley, involved in several community initiatives like the Kimberley Summer Theatre Society, Arts on the Edge, the Canadian Cancer Society’s Relay For Life and the Kimberley Arts Council.
She was presented with the award on Monday of this week and was able to make a $500 donation to a not-for-profit charity of her choice, the Kimberley Food Bank.
