Fernie residents are dealing with high volumes of snow again, after the latest snow storm hit the Elk Valley Thursday.
The Elk Valley was under a snowfall warning Thursday, with up to 15 centimetres of snow falling in and around Fernie.
City crews have centre plowed the downtown core Friday morning and are working on removing that snow to the community’s snow dumps.
Staff will continue to plow roads and clear sidewalks throughout the day, hitting high priority roads first.
Residents are advised to use off-street parking spaces wherever possible avoid shoveling or snow blowing onto already cleared roads or sidewalks.
