Emergency crews responded to the Eddie Mountain Memorial Arena in Invermere Friday after an ammonia alarm went off inside the refrigeration plant.
The alarm sounded as a hockey game was taking place, forcing an evacuation of the building.
Upon further investigation, district staff found a small leak within the heat floor component of the refrigeration plant.
The RDEK’s refrigerator contractor spent Saturday working on the repairs.
No one was injured in the incident and the facility has since re-opened.
