Radium Hot Springs fire department personnel were able to put out a chimney fire earlier this week.
Crews were called to the incident near Rivercrest Road around 6:00 pm Tuesday.
The fire department says due to the stubborn nature of these types of fires, crews worked well into the night to ensure any remaining embers were extinguished.

Just before 6pm on November 1st, RFD responded to an active chimney fire in Radium. Engines 1203, 1201 and ETV 1205 arrived on scene and began to work the fire.
Due to the often stubborn nature of these types of fires, our crews worked well into the night to ensure any remaining embers were extinguished.
Our department has left Engine 1203 on scene, with two members on fire watch. If you plan on taking Rivercrest Road, please drive slowly as our crews may be working and operating equipment.
