An outbreak of COVID-19 has been reported in a section of Cranbrook’s East Kootenay Regional Hospital.
The outbreak was reported through Interior Health’s website and was first declared on Friday, October 14.
IH says the outbreak is located on the third floor medical section of the facility, with a total of 17 cases as of Thursday.
The third floor is restricted to essential visitors only. Visitors are permitted in the rest of the hospital, although they are required to follow COVID and personal protection equipment guidelines.
