The City of Cranbrook says a road closure that began Monday near the Cranbrook Transfer Station and Home Depot will continue on until the end of Friday.
The City is handling tie-ins for storm and sanitary sewer as well as water service at 22nd Street North and McPhee Road.
The closure in the area was originally set to end Wednesday.
The road closure will affect traffic between the transfer station and Home Depot, traffic personnel will be on scene near the Chamber of Commerce to intercept any traffic that is unaware of the closure.

22nd Street N. / McPhee Road will remain closed to traffic until the end of day Friday September 2, 2022 to facilitate storm and sanitary sewer tie-ins, along with water service tie-in.
The road closure will affect traffic between the Home Depot and the Cranbrook Transfer Station.
People wanting to get to Home Depot must access off Theatre Road; access to the Cranbrook Transfer Station is only available off Cranbrook St. N/Highway 3/93 by Lordco.
Please watch for and follow all signage in place for the duration of the construction work.
The project was to wrap up by the end of day Wednesday August 31, 2022 however, some challenges in installing the tie-ins requires that this closure be extended by a couple of days.
We appreciate the patience and understanding of the public and those impacted by this project.
