The South Country Fire Department responded to a wildfire burning in Baynes Lake Tuesday evening.
The fire at Strawberry Hill in Baynes Lake was estimated to be one hectare in size.
Firefighters from Baynes Lake, Elko and Jaffray were at the scene of the blaze, preventing it from spreading any further.
Fire crews will remain on site until the fire is fully extinguished and cooled.
The cause of the blaze is undetermined at this time.
