Public hearing on plans for downtown Elkford happening Oct. 25

Elkford District Council wants to hear from you with regards to a  which will implement aspects of the District’s downtown plan.

The bylaw includes permissions for a campground on District-owned land in the downtown area, updating regulations for temporary buildings or structures to allow pop-up businesses and more.

A public hearing regarding the bylaw is planned for October 25 at council chambers at , you can also partake in the event via Zoom.

The hearing is limited to 16 guests within council chambers to keep up with COVID-19 protocol.

On October 25, Council is holding a public hearing to consider Zoning Amendment Bylaw No. 859, 2021, which will implement aspects of Elkford’s Downtown Plan that was adopted in spring 2021. In alignment with current provincial health orders, in-person public attendance to council meetings and public hearings is currently permitted, with a maximum capacity of 16 people in Council Chambers.
