The Kimberley Fire Department is investigating after a BC Ambulance vehicle caught fire over the holiday weekend.
The fire was reported in the early morning hours on Sunday at the Kimberley station.
Fire Chief Rick Prasad says the vehicle was fully engulfed by the time firefighters arrived.
“Early in the morning on the tenth of October, we were dispatched to a vehicle fire,” Prasad says. “We arrived and found one of the BC Ambulance units in the local station on fire. Investigation is pending.”
Prasad says an investigation into the fire is underway at this time.
He praised firefighters for being able to extinguish the fire quickly.
