Firefighters in Windermere responded to a vehicle fire on Friday afternoon (Sept. 26) that completely destroyed an RV.
According to Columbia Valley Rural Fire & Rescue, the fire was reported shortly before 2 p.m., after the property owner saw smoke coming from the RV and called 911.
The homeowner also tried to control the fire before crews arrived.
When firefighters arrived, the RV was burning near a residential garage.
Crews were able to keep the fire from spreading to other buildings.
The fire was mostly out within 30 minutes, but firefighters stayed on scene throughout the afternoon to check for hot spots and ensure the area was safe.
The cause of the fire has not been confirmed, and no damage estimate has been released.
The RV is considered a total loss.
No one was inside the RV at the time, and no injuries were reported.
