Police in the Columbia Valley say nobody is injured from a vehicle fire in Kootenay National Park last week.
On Friday, Columbia Valley RCMP responded to the incident on Highway 93 east of Kootenay Crossing.
RCMP says the driver and passenger were able to exit the truck after disconnecting it from the trailer, this resulted in only the cab being burned.
Kootenay National Park Rangers also attended and were able to confirm that there was no danger of the fire spreading to nearby forest.

In the early morning hours of October 20th, members responded to a vehicle fire involving a transport truck on Hwy 93 approximately kilometers east of Kootenay Crossing. Luckily the driver and passenger were able to exit the truck after successfully disconnecting it from the trailer resulting in only the cab burning. Kootenay National Park Ranger also attended and confirmed there was no danger of the surrounding forest igniting.
